
The Stirling Albion Supporters’ Trust is pleased to announce that the joint Selection Committee has made its first recommendations to the Trust Board.
The Selection Committee, as per the Working Together Agreement, has begun a selection process which involves application and interview procedures. The Committee is currently made up of Bjarni Eyvindsson and Kelly-Marie Wilson representing the Trust Board and Andy Kennedy and Ian Allardice representing the Club.
The Selection Committee has recommended the approval to the Club Board of Jim McAllister and Brian Hamilton.
Brian Hamilton to become Football Operations Director
Brian is an ex-professional footballer who played over 500 games with the likes of Hearts and Hibernian. He also had spells playing in Sweden and Australia. He was in teams that won the Scottish Cup, League Cup and Challenge Cup as well as being a League 1 winner with Falkirk and League 2 with Partick Thistle. He represented Scotland at U19 and U21 level. After his playing career he had spells working with the SFA, Cowdenbeath, Alloa, Stenhousemuir and Partick Thistle football clubs. Brian is a director of SGS Group which specialises in sports facilities construction and maintenance. Brian brings a vast experience on football matters with special interest on youth development and community engagement.
Jim McAllister to become Community Engagement Director
Jim is well known to everyone within Stirling Albion having been involved in the youth academy for many years and serving as the Club’s Child Well-being and Protection Officer. He is a member of the Board of Stirling Albion Supporters’ Trust and is also a trustee for the Stirling Albion Foundation.
Jim has been a serving member on the Club Board of Stirling Albion this season and has taken an active part in the good work that has been done. Jim is also being proposed to be one of Stirling Albion Supporters’ Trust representatives on the Club Board of Stirling Albion.
The Club Board supports the recommendations of the Selection Committee.
On consideration, the Trust Board is pleased to be able to recommend to the Trust Membership, the approval of both individuals.
As such we would seek the approval of both individuals via an advisory vote.
